Perfect for Giant Scale!

If you fly planes with 2 or more Rx battery packs...
Now you can charge them quickly, safely, and reliably.

Sirius Charge Quad Channel is a fast, fully automatic charger for larger NiCd & NiMH batteries.

Our RPC charging technique cures NiCd "memory", rejuvenates old batteries, and greatly extends the life of all NiCd batteries. Because it is so effective, it totally eliminates the need to "cycle" your batteries.

Sirius Charge Quad is "GOOF PROOF". You cannot harm the charger OR your batteries by plugging anything in backwards!

Sirius Charge Quad delivers a full 1 Amp of charge current to each of 4 NiCd or NiMh battery packs.

Rx channels will charge 4 to 6 cell, 250 to 4000 mAh NiCd and 500 to 3000 mAh NiMH.

Tx channel will charge 4 to 8 cells, 250 to 4000 mAh NiCd and 500 to 3000 NiMH.

Sirius Charge Quad can often recondition older batteries to full power. Be persistent! You may need to discharge and recharge a battery several times to restore lost performance.

Leave your batteries on charge as long as you like. When the green LED is flashing, Sirius Charge Quad is in Pulsed Maintenance Mode. This is NOT a trickle charge! The full current charge and discharge pulses are carefully timed to chemically condition the cells, keep them fully charged, and eliminate NiCd "memory" effect without overcharging.

You may use your Sirius Charge Quad without worry on brand new (never charged) batteries. Just remember, brand new batteries may only develop about half power the very first time you charge them. We suggest "forming" new battery packs to bring them to full capacity. More information on "forming" can be found here: Sirius Charge Pro Former

SIRIUS CHARGE QUAD OPERATION

Sirius Charge Quad is supplied with 5 Connectors (Power, 4xRX, TX)

1. Connect Sirius Charge Quad to a 12 volts DC source capable of 4.5 amps.

2. Plug Sirius Charge Quad into your batteries.

The computer will automatically turn on and analyze your battery. After 2 seconds, the green LED(s) will light indicating the charger is charging your batteries.

3. Wait for the blinking green LED.

• The green LED will start flashing when Sirius Charge Quad finishes fast charging and enters Topping Mode. It's ready to fly!

4. You may leave your battery connected until ready for use.

Sirius Charge Quad automatic Topping and Maintenance modes will maintain the charge level and condition the pack as long as you leave it on charge.

IF NOTHING HAPPENS

Sirius Charge Quad requires BOTH DC power source and a battery to be properly connected before it will turn itself on.

CHARGING TIME

Sirius Charge Quad Channel uses a regulated 1000 mA current source for charging. To estimate full charge time for any particular empty battery, divide the battery capacity (in mAh) by 1000. Some examples:

2000 mAh pack: 2000 ¸ 1000 = 2.0 hours

2800 mAh pack: 2800 ¸ 1000 = 2.8 hours

Remember: these times are for fully discharged batteries. Partially charged packs take less time to charge.

Here is the first fast charger designed especially to SAFELY fast charge those batteries in your big bird, three at a time, PLUS the Transmitter. How fast? Sirius Charge Quad can take a 1000mAh pack from nearly dead to completely full in an hour. Or, half full to topped off in half an hour. Or, do like we do, and charge EVERY flight. It's completely safe, because the digital computers will deliver only enough energy to charge your batteries exactly full; no more, no less. Then, every time you take off, you have freshly filled batteries. And, you just can't beat fresh batteries for top performance and best reliability.

Easy to use: just plug it in, and forget it
Goof proof! You cannot harm the charger or your batteries by plugging anything in backwards
Digital computers are immune to temperature changes
Peak Predictor tm prevents overcharge
RPCtm allows safe fast charging
Automatic Pulsed Maintenance Mode keeps batteries at peak performance, indefinitely

Ah yes, but is Sirius Charge really safe?
Yes, it is. Using a conventional slow (overnight) charger will usually give you a battery lifespan of 300 to 500 charge cycles. Conventional "delta-V" fast chargers can shorten that to about half, because of overcharge, temperature rise, and pressure buildup.

The advanced techniques used by Sirius Charge Quad will actually extend battery life. If you use only Sirius Charge, you can extend your battery life to over 2000 cycles! That's over 20 years of flying for the average flyer!

You say you want a tough charger?
Sirius Charge Quad was originally designed for Giant Scale fliers, who need multiple channels in an ultra rugged and ultra reliable charger, and don't have time to fuss with complicated electronic equipment. We built the Sirius Charge Quad with four fault-tolerant computers, double voltage regulation, and precision power electronics. Then we put it in a cast aluminum case, with a cooling fan. Now it can withstand 140 degree temperatures, shrug off being tripped over or stepped on, ignore generator voltage surges, and still work correctly, every time.
